In August 2004, I began learning the Blitz+ programming language, the aim being to produce a PC version of a classic favourite of mine, Citadel (originally for the C64 computer).

It rapidly became clear that I'd need a Map Editor to put the levels together, and this also seemed like a good way of learning the language, and thus I began working on "FishEd".

This Blog spans almost three years, during which time I've learned an awful lot about Editors, Blitz+, and most importantly, the importance of perseverance when tackling spare-time projects.

FishEd is now available for purchase here at the official FishEd website; after dipping back into Citadel for a while, the hankering to return to FishEd proved too much, and so I'm now re-writing the program in Blitz Max, which will also allow Macintosh owners to use the program for their projects.

I'll also be integrating Level Editors and Enemy Editors into the package, opening up the scope of the program even further.

This Blog has proved immensely popular with friends and fellow coders alike; please keep reading, there's a lot more to come...
